Malawi Project
The CURE International hospital in Malawi is the only orthopaedic children’s hospital in Malawi. The hospital performs cleft palate, hair-lip corrections and amputations on children who wouldn’t otherwise have these life-changing operations.
We have supported the hospital by sending gifts and clothing for the children, and helping with the cost of operations.
CURE International
“We want to help children who have physical disabilities in developing countries. Why? Because they have a very tough time and there are not many opportunities for them or their families to get help. We think they deserve better. With your help we give them back hope and a future.
How do we help them? We build and operate teaching hospitals where disabled children and their families can have their medical and spiritual needs met, regardless of their background.
- we build hospitals where there is the greatest need of disabled children throughout the world
- we train local people in the most modern healthcare techniques so their countries can grow and develop
- we incorporate a faith component in a culturally relevant and sensitive manner
- we work with local partners
- we aim to make sure each hospital is sustainable in the long-term
- we make sure that every donation we receive from members of the public goes directly to the frontline work….
