Memory Making through Sailing
The Seventh Wave is a Luxury 3 berth yacht that is owned by a Christian Charity enabling people to experience sailing for the first time, and also discover a journey with Jesus. The approach is not forceful, but open to discussion if people chose to investigate further a journey of faith.
April 2008 saw 5 men from Raffles experience a sailing trip away from their normal day to day environment of Raffles to the Seas around the Isle of Arran and beyond. Through the ministry of the Seventh Wave, we were able to see a man pick up a bible for the first time, a renewed self esteem through the new skill learned on the yacht.
“Good fun, good food, good times, and great fellowship…

“Mind blowing experience of God starting to work in people’s lives through this trip…

Women’s Retreat
Benidorm, Spain, 19-23 November 2007
Amazing. Fabulous. Fantastic. Excellent. Fun. Those are just a few of the words used to describe this years women’s retreat in Benidorm. Seventyfive ladies from across the district gathered together to meet with Jesus. Ladies from Scotland, Northern Ireland and even the north of England spent the not so sunny week allowing Jesus to touch their scars and heal their wounds.
When asked to sum up the week in one sentence, Anne said, “Fantastic! I had the best time of my life.…
Margaret also added, “[The] people we went with and met were fantastic. I would like to meet them again. I hope to go next year.…
And Doreen agreed. The fellowship was refreshing but it wasn’t just because of the fellowship that this year’s retreat was described as amazing.
